Motorola International GSM codes FAQ Maintained by jckrarup@image.dk (c) Menu configuration codes for the following models: 6200 (Flare), 7500, 8200, TX770, d460 (all has Personality (TM) menu interface) The codes has the following appearence: [][][]XXX[]Y[](OK) [] is the pause symbol, typed by holding down the * key XXX is the register number, Y is the value Valid entries are XXX from 000 to 999, Y from 0 to 9 (thats 10000 possibilities !!) 003 Default=0, Y=1 Toggels "PhoneBook" in the (MENU) top level This allows you to enter the phonebook through the (MENU) key. 004 Default=0, Y=1 Toggles "Messages" in the (MENU) top level This allows you to enter the Messages menu through the (MENU) key. 005 Default=0, Y=1 Toggels "Mute On / Off" in the (MENU) during a call This allows you to mute / unmute through the menu during a call - This function is used on the flare, that does not have a mute key. 007 Default=0, Y=1 Displays an arrow menu when the (MENU) key is pressed This menu style is implemented in the Bosch OEM version of the motorola 6200. This phone has a menu button divided into two, so you can flip back and forth - The software provides support for this in all phones, but will only work in the Bosch (M-COM 214). 008 Default=0, Y=1 Adds "Select Phone Line" to the "Phone Setup" menu This enables dual line capability. The active line is chosen through this menu. The name of the active phone line is written in the display below the provider name. Your service provider has to allow people to use 2 lines. If you only have one number, you wont be able to place calls on the second line. The line names and numbers can be changed through the "Enter My Phone Number" menu (084) and its sub-menus "Edit Name" (090) and "Edit Number" (091). 039 This enables the possibility of vibrate alert - of course this will only work on 8200's and 8400's 070 This register has to be set to 0 in order to enter any codes ! 101 Slow This specifies the frequency of connection attemps, when 102 Medium the phone is not connected to a system. I don't know what 103 Fast speed "Periodic" is. 108 Copy Sim Memory - This enables you to copy a SIM phone book from one SIM to another The phone will ask you to swap cards several times before the copying is complete. The phone will display "Card Read Error" is the card is faulty. 110 Edit Number This Direct Dial Key does not exist on the current phones.
